Shampoo for Thinning Hair Women

What are the best shampoo for thinning hair in women? Are there really effective shampoos that will prevent and stop thinning hair in women?

Thinning hair, receding hairline, and baldness have now become a major concern not only for men but also for women. In the US alone, at least 5 million women are now having problems with thinning hair, or commonly referred to as falling hair or baldness.

For most women who experience thinning hair, the first move would be to find the best shampoo for thinning hair. Women would immediately go to department stores and beauty shops to look for shampoos that often promise a quick cure to baldness and falling hair.

But hey, there is no scientific study, as of this writing, that will back up the claims of manufacturers that their shampoo is really effective in dealing with falling hair, thinning hair, and even baldness among women.

You see them in TV and newspaper advertisements. Shampoos that promise to be effective in preventing further hair loss. But naaah, they are all just advertisement tricks because no clinical studies would prove the effectiveness of any shampoo in treating thinning hair, especially among women.

Hair loss, baldness, and thinning hair manifest when the sebaceous glands, the gland that produces the natural oil that conditions the hair, fails to deliver the needed hair nourishment. This happens when the hair follicle is blocked by dead cells or dirt particles and when the body's hormone fails to manufacture the natural oil called sebum.

More often, hair loss or thinning hair in women is due to hormonal imbalance. And because this is hormonal, no amount of shampoo or conditioner can prevent it from taking place. Addressing the hormonal imbalance is the best way to deal with thinning hair, which means you will have to see a doctor to do this.

Thinning hair in women is a reality, with millions of women having the same problem in the US alone. While there are shampoos that can clean up the scalp and the hair, there has been no scientific research that would show the effectiveness of shampoos in treating hair loss or thinning hair.
